Celebrating the timeless music of Ol' Blue Eyes, with a rich baritone voice, presence and charisma, Stevie croons in a style closely reminiscent of Frank & Dean - yet still his own. The phrasing and tone unmistakable...you won't believe your ears! Enjoy gems such as Lady Is A Tramp, Under My Skin, Fly Me To The Moon, Ain't That A Kick In The Head and other Rat Pack classics.
Steve is also known for his spot-on Neil Diamond, Elvis and more. This exciting and unique musical tribute captures the sound of America's beloved legends at their zenith! Along the way Steve and the band also salute other musical legends (we must leave some surprises!)
Steve Jacobs aka Stevie Swing (Vocalist):
Chicago born and based, Steve is a popular Chicago-based Crooner who has been bringing music lovers to their feet and dance floors across Chicagoland & The Midwest for over 20 years. Steve has gained the reputation as a versatile singer of The Great American Songbook and Vintage Pop & Country, as well as an in-demand Frank Sinatra Cover Artist.
An accomplished guitarist and songwriter, Steve's first gig was his 6th grade Variety Show, followed by playing in coffee house duos & bands back in 80’s. With a degree in Communications & Music from NIU, his passion for Performance & Songwriting has included singing and performing at Performance Arts Theatres across the Midwest, The Alpine Valley Music Theatre, The Copernicus Center, Navy Pier, Italian Festivals, Milwaukee Summerfest, Chicagoland Park District Concerts, The Chicago Cultural Center, Charity Galas, Weddings, and Special Events across the country. He is grateful to be performing his favorite music with some of our city’s finest musicians.
Bobby Schiff (Pianist):
Bobby’s career spans more than 50 years in Chicago and Los Angeles. He has led orchestras, performed, directed, composed, and arranged for the Mel Torme, Peggy Lee, Johnny Hartman, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen McRae, Bobby Rydell, and many more in the U.S. and internationally. His classical training began at age five. Throughout the 70's, his commercial music business served such clients as Kimberly-Clark, Sesame Street, McDonald's, John Deere, Sears, Kraft, and Hallmark. Studio recording work includes various movie productions as well as with Marvin Hamlisch. Bobby has served for many years as a National Trustee and National Vice President of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. He released a CD “Late Game” in his own name with jazz trio and his signature style string arrangements. Bobby is a recipient of the Dal Segno Award, a recognition from his colleagues and peers.
Bill Overton (Reeds):
Bill was born in Memphis and grew up immersed in its blues, jazz, and soul music. After receiving his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Music Education from the University of Illinois, he performed with such artists as Rosemary Clooney, Bo Diddley, the Temptations, the Spinners, and many others in New York City while teaching at the Brooklyn Conservatory, William Patterson College, and public schools. He has recorded extensively and conducted clinics, master classes and seminars throughout the U.S. and abroad. Bill has taught band, guitar and music technology at Oak Grove School in Green Oaks, IL, while performing with the Chicago Jazz Orchestra, the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Philharmonic, at Ravinia with Seth MacFarlane, Bernadette Peters, Michael Feinstein & Tony Bennett and with his own quartet at Andy’s, The Green Mill and 210. His own recordings as a leader include, “The Sun Will Shine”, “Always In My Heart” and “Only Love Can Do That”.
Ken Haebich (String Bass):
Ken Haebich (String Bass): Ken began his professional career in music at age 13 by playing in rock and blues bands and earned Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees at Illinois State University. He has performed with Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Garth Brooks, Ken Nordine and many more. For 20 years he led a jazz trio with Redd Holt (original drummer with Ramsey Lewis). Ken recently retired from his position of Adjunct Professor of Music at Elmhurst University.
Bob Rummage (Drums):
Bob is one of the busiest musicians in Chicago, maintaining a versatile schedule of performances. He has performed with many internationally known musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderly, Benny Golson, Mark Colby, Buddy DeFranco, Harry Allen and Mississippi blues man, Mose Allison. His experience in the studio includes national television commercials for Cheez-Its, Gallo wines and AT&T. He is currently the percussion director at Elmhurst University. Mr. Rummage is a much sought after clinician having made appearances at various high schools and colleges including the University of Illinois, University of Kentucky, Emporia State, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and the Music for All camp at Illinois State.
