Live Music & Dancers in Full Carnaval Costume!
Carnival season in Brazil is Hot! Hot! Hot! The samba schools practice their wild rhythms and transfixing chants for months, and then they parade for days with outrageously colorful costumes in their final frenzy of pre-Lenten celebration.
But you won’t have to go to Rio to see it. On the Sunday before Lent, the amazing Chicago Samba musicians and dancers will be singing, dancing and parading in our own Forest View auditorium. Chicago Samba is a collection of Brazilians in Chicago who, for the past 23 years, have been bringing virtuoso Brazilian music and dancing to audiences throughout the Midwest.
This has never been presented before in the Northwest suburbs, so tickets will go quickly. Full coverage entertainment – only the costumes are scanty!
A musical ensemble, based in Chicago, that plays authentic Brazilian dance music!
