Celebrating Sinatra's 100th Birthday!

The original Harmonicats were harmonica virtuosos who, in 1947, had a monster national hit with Peg O' My Heart. Followed up with a harmon-amazing version of Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White. Modern-day harmonica wizard Mo Vint has assembled a new-era Harmonicats who play all the old songs, but will amaze you with their artistry. This is not just a novelty act, but an opportunity to hear a popular instrument played beautifully by three of the world's finest harmonist players.

In 1947, three young harmonica players went into a recording studio in Chicago to record a handful of songs they had been playing in the nightclubs around town. One of the songs was a dynamic arrangement of a simple Irish love song entitled "Peg O' My Heart".

As a favor to the recording engineer, an all-night disc jockey played it on the air and the ensuing barrage of calls from radio listeners all over town requesting to hear it again and again turned the Harmonicats into an overnight sensations. The Harmonicats became the hottest group in the nation as their song skyrocketed to number #1 on the charts and remained there for most of the year. The group was thrust into the national spotlight and enraptured audiences coast to coast; playing to sold-out crowds across the country and were often held over for weeks on end.

The “Cats” went on to become the second longest running act in show business and have set many musical milestones along the way. Most notably being the first harmonica players to be admitted into the Musicians Union as well as be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records and Encyclopedia Britannica.

"Peg" went on to sell over 20 million copies, making it the second-most popular 78-rpm record of all time to Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas.
